عزيزي عمر،

كما تعلم، بخلاف التعبير الخاص عن الأمل في أن أتمكن من استئناف مشاوراتي في المنطقة قبل النقاش العام للجمعية العامة، لم أقم بإصدار أي تصريحات أو وضع أي خطط بشأن تواريخ محددة للسفر في غياب المشاورات اللازمة معك ومع الأطراف الأخرى المعنية.

وبالنظر إلى هذا الوضع، أشعر بالانزعاج من الطريقة التي تستخدم بها « مصادر الأمم المتحدة »، سواء كانت حقيقية أو وهمية، لبث الفوضى، ومن الطريقة التي يتبعها إعلام البوليساريو والإعلام الجزائري في نشر المعلومات المضللة والتكهنات التي يستغلونها بعد ذلك لانتقاد المغرب وشن هجمات عليه.

كل ذلك يشير إلى الحاجة لإظهار بعض التحرك في أقرب وقت ممكن. تميل المعلومات المضللة والتكهنات إلى التقلص عندما يكون هناك نشاط مرئي.

Dear Omar,
As you know, beyond privately expressing the hope that I can resume my consultations in the region before the General Assembly’s General Debate, I have authorized no statements or made any plans about specific dates for future travel in the absence of the necessary consultations with you and the others concerned.
Given this fact, I am disturbed at the way in which « UN sources » real or fictitious are muddying the waters and in which Polisario and Algerian media are engaging in misinformation and speculation that they are then exploiting to criticize and attack Morocco.
All of this points to the need to show some movement as soon as possible. Misinformation and speculation tend to diminish when there is visible activity.
